The 1975 collaborate with Greta Thunberg on new track 'The 1975'

Despite celebrating already today with the announcement that their third album 'A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationship' has been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, The 1975 have also returned to share a very poignant track taken from their next full-length.

The new single 'The 1975' sees the band collaborate with climate change activist Greta Thunberg on an emotionally charged new release, which is set to be the opener to their fourth LP 'Notes On A Conditional Form', which is due to be released in February next year.

The four-minute spoken word release sees the Swedish teenager deliver a strong and powerfully-worded message about the state of the world today, stating at the very beginning, "We are right now in the beginning of a climate and ecological crisis. And we need to call it what it is. An emergency."
