Following their searing collaboration with Royal Blood on 'My Blood' and the brooding intensity of 'Love is a Dog From Hell', UK rock heavyweights The Amazons return with their latest single 'Night After Night', an explosive anthem that digs deep into the cycles we find ourselves stuck in. The track is the newest glimpse into their highly anticipated fourth studio album '21st Century Fiction', out on the 9th May.
Fuelled by thunderous riffs and a pulsing sense of urgency, 'Night After Night' channels frustration and self-reflection with The Amazons’ trademark fire. Frontman Matt Thomson explains that the song was inspired by time spent at Jumbo’s Clown Room in Hollywood—once frequented by the likes of David Lynch and Charles Bukowski—reimagined as a symbol of the invisible routines that keep us tethered.
“What interested us were the guys who’d go there all the time, who became part of the furniture, at the bar night after night compelled to be there, unable to break out,” says Thomson. “It’s easy to judge, but we all have our habits. It’s only when we try to hop the fence that we realise how much of a hold they have over us.”
