ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No. 113 Tibet

Having already made a cult name for themselves, thanks to their staggeringly good double EP 'Above The Moon' from earlier this year, Cardiff-based rock quartet Tibet now look to be moving away from their pop influenced direction with their latest single.

While their initial releases were a collection of fantastic pop-rock ditties, their new single 'There Is A Place' is a pure rock stomper. Taking inspiration from the retro sound of The Black Keys and Band Of Skulls, the band have written a truly superb psych-inspired hit that almost sounds like it came direct from the early 1970s. Catchy riffs and harmonised choruses make this an incredibly memorable track that you'll find yourself coming back to again and again.

Tibet have just embarked on their first major UK tour in support of The Amazons, and will be on the road throughout October and November, so be sure to catch them when you can.
