ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No. 136 The Bay Rays

After first emerging last year with a string of upbeat, garage-rock singles, Kent-based trio The Bay Rays are already lining up to make 2017 the year that they break through to the mainstream.

With their latest single 'Satisfaction' already receiving regular airplay on BBC Radio 1 and 6Music, the band's sound has been described as a cross between the initial style of Kings Of Leon, mixed with the fun-loving attitude of Nathaniel Rateliff. Their repertoire was recently rewarded with a live session for the BBC at their infamous Maida Vale studios, which was broadcast throughout the country on Radio 1 earlier this week.

It seems pretty clear that The Bay Rays are far from slowing down either, with notable festival appearances at The Great Escape and Leefest later this summer, and a number of headline shows throughout the UK, the band are set to become one of the most in-demand new names of the year.
