After emerging in the latter half of last year, HMLTD first introduced us to their off-kilter brand of avant-garde post-punk in the shape of initial releases 'Stained' and 'Is This What You Wanted?'. But now well into 2017, the group that NME have called "the UK's most thrilling new band" have returned with their latest single 'To The Door'.
While the band have found themselves described as a hybrid of punk aesthetics and electronic influence, it is only when listening to their music that you can truly grasp the meaning of that definition. Their latest release 'To The Door' jumps back and forth between high-energy guitars and subtle synth breakdowns, which make for a song of two halves yet still wildly loveable and enjoyable throughout.
HMLTD have been immersed in an extensive UK tour over the last few months, but are already set to perform at Field Day and Latitude Festival later this year.
