Having been working the peripheries of the US indie scene for the last few years, rising singer-songwriter Ethan Gruska has finally built up the momentum he has spent his career working towards as he embarks on releasing his first studio album.
Produced by Tony Berg, best known for his work with Andrew Bird and Aimee Mann, the new full-length 'Slowmotionary' sees the frontman embrace a whole host of influences, ranging jazz and folk to ambient and alternative, with the single 'Rather Be' leading the charge of the record's buzz.
With a soft and silk-laiden vocal performance, Ethan's ability to bring heart and soul to such a simple song structure is almost unparalleled. Taking his cue from similar artists such as Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver, this emerging songwriter is quickly becoming the hot new ticket on today's circuit.
