ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.260 - Beabadoobee

2019 has proven itself to be a bustling hive of new talent from around the world, but despite so many new artists making a name for themselves this year, there is one in particular that we have the highest hopes for and that is Beabadoobee.

Born in the Philippines and raised in London, frontwoman Bea Kristi began recording music as Beabadoobee in 2017 and has since gone on to receive huge acclaim for her previous EPs 'Patched Up' and 'Loveworm', as well as her previous single ‘She Plays Bass’ receiving tons of radio play these last few months. And with all this hype around her, she has now returned with her latest offering 'I Wish I Was Stephen Malkmus'.

Although many artists will credit their musical heroes for their inspirations, very few go to the lengths that Beabadoobee has on her new release. Channeling the spirit of the Pavement frontman in both elegance and atmosphere, her latest offering displays the youthful and carefree attitude we have grown to love about her.

'I Wish I Was Stpehen Malkmus', along with 'She Plays Bass', is set to feature on her new EP 'Space Cadet', which is due out on the 18th October via Dirty Hit! Records. Check it out in the player below.
