ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.296 - Joe & The Shitboys

Having already made a name for themselves with a string of much-applauded singles including ‘Macho Man Randy Savage’, ‘If You Believe In Eating Meat Start With You Dog’ and 'Life Is Great You Suck', which have gathered support from the likes of NME, The Line of Best Fit, Dork and being crowned Artist of the Year at the Faroese Music Awards, Faroe Islands-based bisexual vegan punks Joe & The Shitboys are back once again to share their latest offering 'The Reson for Hardcore Vibes 2'.

With its tenacious punk energy and gritty production, 'The Reson for Hardcore Vibes 2' showcases their unabashed and tenacious attitude in just 94 seconds. With frontman Fríði Djurhuus channeling his inner Joe Talbot throughout, this new anthem is the latest cut to be lifted from their highly-anticipated debut album, which is set to land later this year.

Speaking about their new release, Fríði Djurhuus said, "'The Reson for Hardcore Vibes 2' is about how absolutely soul-crushing it was working at this specific fish factory, where the work days were 8 hours of neither mentally or physically stimulating labour that included and was very much limited to placing fish heads on a pallet. However, Joe & The Shitboys are all about making money, so we kept the lyrics vague enough to be relatable to any hip person who is too cool for a traditional lifestyle.”
