ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.450 - Mitch Rowland

Having already cemented himself as a GRAMMY-Award winning songwriter, collaborating with Harry Styles on his hits 'Meet Me In The Hallway', 'Watermelon Sugar' and 'Golden', Mitch Rowland is now looking to introduce his own solo material to the wider world as he releases his stunning debut single 'Come June'.

Lifted from his forthcoming debut album of the same name, which is out on the 6th October via Giant Music/Erskine Records, 'Come June' makes for a wonderfully warm and inviting introduction to his direction. Keeping the production largely stripped back to an acoustic-led aesthetic, his wondrous voice sweeps and swoons across this stunning new offering, making for a beautifully heartfelt listen in the process.

Speaking about the new track, he said, “We were near the end of making this album, and this song came back to me. It wasn’t part of the plan because of how it was originally recorded with harder drums and bigger guitars - I never pictured it with the rest of the songs. But after some re-approaching and re-recording everything, this song started to mean something again. I guess you could say this is a song for Sarah.”
