The wait behind Babeheaven's debut album has been a long yet nourishing one. After originally breaking throughout with their seminal single 'Friday Sky' back in 2016, the duo have spent the last few years sporadically sharing new examples of their work, growing and evolving every step of the way. We have seen them move and progress in confidence throughout their formative years, and are now looking to showcase their best on their long-awaited debut album 'Home For Now', a record that sees them as true innovators on the new music circuit.
From the very start, 'Home For Now' sets itself up as an extremely diverse and eclectic collection. While their focus has always been on the more soulful side of modern music, there are clear nods to the sounds of trip-hop, neo-soul, and dream-pop on this fourteen-track release. With Nancy Andersen's incredibly absorbing vocals leading the way throughout, their new album is a rich and warming tapestry of enlightened adventure, creating a fresh and vibrant offering with all the hallmarks of a band who have been churning out this kind of work for decades prior.
Seen more as a compilation of their singles in recent years, 'Home For Now' marks an important stage in their development as they look to move from cult status to the next big thing in the mainstream arena. Their incredible grasp for bold and inviting compositions remains a constant on here, and something we are sure will continue into the years ahead.
