BBC announce Sound Of 2015 longlist

The BBC has unveiled the list of acts that it believes will become some of the biggest names in popular music over the next few months. The 'Sound Of' poll aims to highlight growing talent in the music industry and early next year, will name an eventual winner.

The list includes a large number of acts championed by Mystic Sons over the past year, including Wolf Alice, Kwabs, James Bay, George The Poet, Lapsley, Shura and Years & Years (pictured), with a total of 15 names making up this year's longlist.

The eventually decided top five names from the list will be announced by Huw Stephens once a day when he takes over the Radio 1 Breakfast Show from the 5th-9th January next year.

Past winner's of the 'Sound Of' poll have included Jessie J, Haim and Sam Smith, and you can see the full list of this year's nominees below.
