Known for its ability to predict the biggest names in music for the year ahead, the BBC has now announced its longlist for its Sound Of 2020 poll.
Every year, the organisation nominates ten promising acts who it thinks will go on to achieve great things in the year ahead. With London rapper Octavian topping last year's poll, and previous winners including Years And Years, Sam Smith, Haim, and Sigrid, it has been a fairly safe bet for those just to be nominated.
But despite last year's list, which saw nine solo acts and one band, the groups are very much back in the game this year with Squid (pictured), Easy Life and Inhaler all added, while female solo acts take up half on the list with Georgia, Arlo Parks, Joy Crookes, Beabadoobee, and Celeste all getting nods.
The top five winners of the poll will be announced on BBC Radio 1 from the 5th-9th January, and you can see the full list of nominees below.
