BBC reveal Sound Of 2016 longlist

As the year is quickly wrapping up, the BBC have now unveiled the longlist for their annual 'Sound Of' poll to find the most promising new artist for the year ahead.

Judged by 140 members of the music industry, this year's list includes Brits Critics’ Choice winner Jack Garratt (pictured), daughter of Neneh Cherry, Mabel, and one of the United States' biggest exports of the year, Alessia Cara.

The winner of the Sound Of 2016 poll will be unveiled the week beginning Monday 4th January, where the top 5 artists will each get announced day by day on BBC Radio 1 throughout the week. But you can check out the full list of nominees below.
