After returning last year to deliver a string of bold and impactful offerings, Newcastle-based outfit Blackout The Arcade are now back for 2024 to unveil their euphoric new single 'Overdrive'.
Bringing back more of that rich and anthemic indie-rock aesthetic they have been cultivating since their earliest beginnings, 'Overdrive' makes for an extremely warm and tantalising listen. With its broad and immersive textures, shimmering atmosphere, and vibrant vocals layered throughout, they are kicking off their new year with one of their more captivating cuts to date.
While this past year was certainly a busy and prolific time for the four-piece, 'Overdrive' shows that they still have plenty of fresh and exciting ideas in which to pursue. With such an impassioned approach to their songwriting and production once again, we can't wait to hear what else they have in store for us in the months ahead as well.
