Blur drummer Dave Rowntree elected Labour councillor

Having served as a political voice for the Labour Party for a number of years, Blur drummer Dave Rowntree has now been elected as a councillor for the city of Norwich.

Rowntree won a total of 1173 votes, giving him a whopping 59% of the overall votes cast in the area. He is now one of 17 Labour councillors in Norfolk, while the Conservatives hold onto their majority of 55 for the county.
