With their long-awaited new album now just a few weeks away, Doves have now unveiled the next cut to be lifted from their forthcoming full-length.
The new single 'Cathedrals Of The Mind' follows on from the previously shared tracks 'Carousel' and 'Prisoners' in previewing their first LP in eleven years, 'The Universal Want', which is due out on the 11th September via EMI.
Speaking about the new offering, the band's Jez Williams said, “The song stems from a single hook, which developed to evoke this expansive internal monologue, this never-ending chasm of thought. Subconsciously, through words thrown against it and made to fit, it came to be about someone always being on your mind. The listener can form their own ideas. For me, it was about the loss of Bowie.”
