Elbow frontman and BBC 6Music presenter Guy Garvey has announced that he is currently working on a new solo project, however he doesn't like to refer to it as that.
In a recent interview with Gigwise, the northern crooner explained, "I don't know what to call it. I don't like the term 'solo project', because it won't be that - I'll be inviting friends to play on it. I'll let the name pick itself as it progresses."
He also added that he plans to work on this as well as the next Elbow album, saying: "I'm already working on lyrics for the next Elbow record, but I've also got a little bit of a side-project on the go. I don't know what that's going to be. I'm going down to Real World Studios to write some songs and see where it goes. I love being in the honest and even-handed democracy that is Elbow, but I fancy being the boss for a bit, so I'm going to do a side-project. It will either be great, and a right laugh, or a disaster, and a right laugh."
Elbow released their sixth studio album 'The Take Off And Landing Of Everything' earlier this year, and was their first to top the UK album charts.
