Getting To Know... FUL

After cementing himself with a shimmering array of releases these last few years, including his much-loved LP 'F1' last year, emerging artist FUL returns once again with his tender new offering 'Love & Affection'.

Capturing more of that sweet and emotive R&B sound he is known for, 'Love & Affection' makes for a rousing return for the artist at the helm. With its rich and alluring production matched perfectly against his soaring vocal performance, he is certainly looking to pull on our heartstrings with this one.

So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and what has inspired him most over the years.

I think it was mostly pop music and and r&b.

The first album they gave me was an Album of Tokio Hotel. That was my elder sister when she came back from Belgium but I didn’t even know the group by then lol. I discovered them when she gave them to me. Then the first album I bought was Adele 25 album.

There is a lot of them but I will say Frank Ocean - Pink matter.

Ayra Starr, JVKE, Alexander Steward, Tayc, Sza, Flo.

If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?

Probably Frank Ocean.

Freedom of doing whatever your heart tells you to do. Not being influenced by the trend and staying true to your emotions.

And what is the most frustrating part?

Maybe not having the support you deserve but I have learned that you don’t need anyone in reality but trust yourself first and be honest with yourself and your music because music doesn't lie.

And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?

To stay true to myself and follow my heart.
