What kind of music did you love when you were younger?

Goolkasian: The Cars. I was bonkers about the cars! I created a music review/report with a drawing of the band and full of amazing “facts” like, “All of their songs were #1 hits!” I wound up having dinner with Ric Ocasek, he was going to produce the 1st Elevator Drops record. I showed him the "CARS Report" and he laughed aloud so hard that his Adams apple shook. He was so thin and tall in person he almost looked 2 Dimensional.

What was the first album you remember owning?

Goolkasian: The Cars candy 0

Morgan: Disco Duck

Palana: Taylor Swift

Adam Wade: AC/DC Let there be Rock

What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?

Goolkasian: Walk on the wild side

Morgan: Heroes, but Just for 1 day

Palana: Shake it off

Adam Wade: sentimental Lady by Fleetwood Mac

Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?

Most songs start out as dreams I hear and think wow what a cool song wish I’d written it. Then when we start playing this dream song - almost like it's a cover-song. Adam starts out in practice in a real pine box coffin with his guitar at the beginning of our practice then he starts going crazy on the guitar, Heather starts dancing and singing, Palana adds a Taylor Swift feel to the drums and it’s magic.

Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?

I love Bob Dylan, Heather does not! We all Love the Cure, DEVO, The Smiths, The Police. Nick Cave. Harry Belafonte. Palana loves Taylor Swift exclusively! Adam likes a lot of heavy Goth & Punk Music. Post Punk, Gothic, Psychedelic..We love it all - ABBA to ACDC ...the ZOMBIES. Any Newer Music, Sure, Future Islands of course, Beck Black, Daughter of the Vine.

If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?

...Neil DeGrasse Tyson at the Planetarium.

What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?

The money! Finding a song in a room together with other passionate players, you’re feeling your way around your instruments and you just find it together. That moment is indescribably wonderful.

And what is the most frustrating part?

The Money! Actually, trying to figure out how get your music, that you’ve put your heart into making, into the ears of humans, in this AI driven sea of media and marketing slurry.

And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?

Be a Lemon-Head and don’t complain!
