What was the first instrument you fell in love with?

Of course the first instrument I fell in love with is the voice. I was talking before I was walking, and always have been obsessed with expressing myself through my voice and screaming and talking and whatever. But the traditional instrument I fell in love with was the piano, and even just by ear, trying stuff on the piano, and being able to build an entire world even with one or two notes is like incredible to me.

What kind of music did you love when you were younger?

I grew up on all the pop queens of this century: Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Rihanna; lot of RnB but also a lot of pop of course Lady Gaga; we were always encouraged and we went to loads of concerts, my first concert was when I was only 9 months old, and I loved it more than anything in the world.

What was the first album you remember owning?

Rihanna-Loud

Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?

I tend to dream of music, so I’d randomly wake up and record a voice memo of a melody or a lyric that I came up with. My rituals are usually an emotion that comes suddenly and I know it needs to be put down into a song on paper and hopefully there is a beautiful song written through it.

Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?

My favorite and biggest inspiration at the moment are Melanie Martinez, Billie Eilish, Raye and many other pop artists. Lately I have been also enjoying listening to 70’s, 80’s and 90’s music, Blondie and a lot of cool indie bands like Tame Impala, other older bands as well; depending on what I like in the moment, it always changes.

If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?

If I could open for anyone in the world, it would be Billie; because her and my fan base cross-over in many ways; I admire her more than anyone in the world, I love her artistry and she seems like a wonderful person.

What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?

The most rewarding part about being a musician, besides obviously seeing your vision come to life and being able to be the creative director in so many different kinds of ways, and just creatively empowered in a way that in unimaginable in any other way; is the connection with the fans, to meet them in person and perform live is just a rush that nothing can compete with; it’s truly the best feeling in the world.

And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?

The best piece of advice I received recently is to throw away the rule book. I think that a lot of people have a specific idea on how things need to go, but in the end it’s a completely different experience for every single person, and every experience is completely unique. There are obviously things you can look out for, there are things you can plan, in the end you have to be ready for anything, because anything can happen and you can make anything happen if you work hard at it.
