After spending the last few years delivering a string of inviting gems, US singer-songwriter Ruby Dice is now back for 2023 to unveil her sweeping new single 'Let's Get Married'.
Harnessing more of that smooth and alluring country-inspired sound she is known for, 'Let's Get Married' makes for a wonderfully warm and shimmering listen. With her bright and euphoric voice layered across a glittering production from start to finish, she is returning for this year with one of her most heartfelt efforts to date here.
So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with her to find out more about her origins and what has inspired her most over the years.

What was the first instrument you fell in love with?
The bass guitar.
What kind of music did you love when you were younger?
I’ve always liked just about everything. Pretty eclectic on that front. But probably soul.

What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?
Dreams - Fleetwood Mac
Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?
I write a lot so I try new things all the time. I like to write on different instruments. Write with different people, write in the car on long road trips.
Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?
Sturgill Simpson, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Al Green, JJ Cale, Waylon Jennings.
If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?
Margo Price.
What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?
The moment you push through a song idea and it becomes an actual song. Not just a concept bouncing around in your brain.
And what is the most frustrating part?
It’s a lot of constant hard work to make it happen financially. It’s a lot of long late nights and early mornings to keep up with everything.
And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?
Don’t follow. Just be as authentic as you possibly can be and follow your own path with it. You are the only you. Figure out your story and capitalise on your unique journey.
