After Elbow announced a break earlier this year to focus on new projects, frontman Guy Garvey has now confirmed his plans for a new solo album later this year.
The new full-length ‘Courting the Squall’ was recorded with fellow musicians Nathan Sudders (The Whip), Pete Jobson (I Am Kloot), Ben Christophers and Alex Reeves at Bath’s Real World Studios and Salford’s Blueprint Studios, and he describes the recording process as, “We moved fast, drank a lot and had what can only be described as a massive laugh along the way.”
'Courting The Squall' is due out on the 30th October, and you can stream the lead single 'Angela's Eyes' via the Spotify player.
