Izzy Bizu - 'A Moment Of Madness'

7/10

Throughout this year and last, Izzy Bizu has shown us time and time again why she is one of the most talked about artists of the moment. Her incredible voice mixed with a proficient and powerful production has made her one of the most intriguing artists we have heard in a while, and now finally unveils her initial introduction, her debut album 'A Moment Of Madness'.

While this release is made up mostly of songs she has already unveiled throughout the last 18 months, once you hear them all back to back, you finally get a sense of her direction as a whole. Taking inspiration from other alt-pop acts such as Lorde and AlunaGeorge, 'A Moment Of Madness' is as impressive as it is fun to listen to. Her joyful disposition is an infectious one as the record simply pumps out a ray of sunshine from start to finish, creating a blissful listening experience.

It has been a long time coming since we first got turned on to the sound of Izzy Bizu, but it was certainly worth the wait as she has managed to create a beautifully elegant debut album, which features all the hallmarks of an artist who has been pumping this stuff out for years. Hopefully there is plenty more she can offer us in the future too.
