Following the announcement of her new album Apocalypse, Girl, out 8th June via Sacred Bones, Jenny Hval has shared the record's first single ‘That Battle Is Over'. She has also just announced a UK tour over the summer, including a show with Perfume Genius in London on 10th June & a headline show at Café Oto on 14th June.
As Jenny describes “‘That Battle Is Over’ is inspired by a great wish to sing karaoke. These songs are flat like that - they are so direct that there's no background. Trying to create one makes the song more shallow. Or worse - makes the listener obsolete."
