Kingfishr - 'Live From Dublin'

8/10

Over these last few years, Irish trio Kingfishr have established themselves as one of the more revered names on the indie-folk circuit. Turning out a wealth of riveting releases, including their highly-praised 'Shadows' EP earlier this year, the band have clocked in millions of streams for their catalogue to date, cementing their place as one of the more exciting names on the rise right now. And with the buzz surrounding them continuing to grow, they return once again with their latest collection 'Live From Dublin', a performance recorded at the first of two sold out shows at The Olympia Theatre in Ireland.

While they have yet to release their first studio album yet, 'Live From Dublin' certainly does the job in bringing together their most renowned offerings so far. With a notably energised crowd giving that extra layer of gravitas to their music, this eleven-track collection offers up some wonderfully riveting delights that have proven the most impactful over the years. Bringing that same immersive aesthetic to their live renditions, the band are in fine form throughout this recording, showcasing exactly why so many have been flocking to them recently.

Given the progress they have made on the new music scene lately, 'Live From Dublin' feels like an extremely prominent moment within their career right now. Highlighting their most passionate efforts from beginning to end, Kingfishr are continuing to shine as true innovators with this one.
