Krohme - 'Legacy'

8/10

Over the last few years, producer Krohme has quickly cemented himself as one of the more progressive names on the scene. With a wildly diverse but still distinctive sound, he has been busy collaborating with a whole host of household names recently, bringing plenty of praise and acclaim his way. And now he teams up with Daddy-O of Stetsasonic, Kool Kim of UMCs, Chill Rob G of Flavor Unit, and Aaron "P-Nut" Wills of 311 to deliver the vibrant new EP 'Legacy', a release brimming with fresh and captivating innovation.

What has made the Krohme sound so successful lately is his ability to revive classic aesthetics for a modern ear, and that is exactly what 'Legacy' aims to do as well. Taking the bold and funk-infused style of the classic hip-hop direction and merging it with a reimagined production throughout, this new EP has an incredibly inviting presence to it. Moving from one driven flow to the next, there is hardly a moment that doesn't evoke some kind of raw power throughout.

Krohme may still be a name moving up the ranks in his career right now, but 'Legacy' has such a forward-thinking drive to it, he already feels like a name ready to blow up soon. Inventive and adventurous at every turn, he is truly unique innovator on the rise right now.
