Lisa Mitchell announces new single 'Wah Ha'

Twenty-four year old singer songwriter Lisa Mitchell is pleased to announce a series of UK dates and a new single ‘Wah Ha’ through Play It Again Sam.

Born in the UK but raised in Australia since early childhood, Mitchell has already enjoyed critical and commercial success where she calls home. With influences ranging from Sufjan Stevens, War On Drugs through to Sharon Van Etten, she has spent the past eight years honing her craft - the recipient of various accolades including the prestigious AMP Award (akin to the Mercury Music prize) and two Top Ten albums - ‘Wah Ha’ sees her emerge in earnest in the northern hemisphere.

An evocative journey hand-in-hand with faithful instrumentation, accompanied by a seductive and seemingly effortless fragility, ‘Wah Ha’ marks a new chapter and makes for an impressive introduction to a wonderful new artist (at least on these shores).

Produced by Lisa alongside Tim Harvey and mixed by Eric J. (Chet Faker, Flume), it comes b/w with a Seekae remix that featured heavily on Hype Machine Top 50 - it’s the precursor to her forthcoming album, (produced by Eric J.), scheduled for release through Play It Again Sam later this year.

Meanwhile ‘Wah Ha’ is available to purchase via iTunes here and you can find her full list of UK dates below.
