Following on from unveiling her new collabortive single 'Floral Dresses' with The Staves, Lucy Rose has now announced her plans to release a new studio album later this year.
The new full-length 'Something's Changing' is due out on the 14th July via Communion Records, and is set to be accompanied by a fly-on-the-wall documentary about her recording process. Including behind-the-scenes footage as well as her trip to South America, which inspired the release.
Speaking about the doc, Lucy said, “The documentary is a big part of this record and I think it explains why that trip was important and why it lead to me making the record that I’ve made. The trip gave me confidence to do things like record in just one take and the songs came more easily. The songs just came more naturally after that trip, and from feeling good, and from learning so much about myself. And it’s also that I feel the most comfortable in my own skin that I’ve ever felt in my life. So there is a lot of searching but there’s been a lot of discovery which is on this record as well.”
As well as The Staves, 'Something's Changing' is also due to feature Elena Tonra from Daughter, Bear’s Den’s Marcus Hamblett and Matthew and The Atlas’ Emma Gatrill as guests. Watch the trailer for the new documentary below.
