2020 may go down in history for many things, but one thing for certain is that no matter what is happening outside, great British music will always come through as this year's Mercury Prize nominations prove.
Nods for Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Laura Marling, Anna Meredith, and Georgia make this the first time that female acts have outnumbered the men, and sees the pop world dominate this year's list. With Dave and Skepta winning for the grime scene in recent years, Kano and Stormzy also make an appearance for the genre once again.
The winner of the 2020 Hyundai Mercury Prize will be unveiled on the 10th September at Hammersmith's Eventim Apollo. See the full list of nominations below.
