Following on from the love and success he has received from his previous 'Encores' EPs, Nils Frahm has now announced his plans to complete his trilogy as well as release a compilation into a new full-length album.
The new EP 'Encores 3' sees the producer step away from the ambient and acoustic sounds of his previous releases, and opt for a more percussive element this time around. The new collection will arrive on the 20th September, with a compilation of all three 'Encores' EPs due out on the 18th October, following up last year's studio album 'All Melody'.
Speaking about his latest work, he added, “The idea behind 'All Encores' is one we had from before 'All Melody'; to separate releases each with their own distinct musical style and theme, perhaps even as a triple album. But 'All Melody' became larger than itself and took over any initial concepts. I think the idea of 'All Encores' is like musical islands that compliment 'All Melody'.”
