POM - 'Enter The POM'

8/10

Having spent much of 2017 releasing the odd single here and there, California's electro-pop trio POM have now kicked off their new year with the release of their debut EP 'Enter The POM'. Featuring their brilliant track 'Sway', this new release aims to showcase the incredibly eclectic sound the band have been conveying so far, mixing incredible production with a unique disposition for songwriting.

To describe the sound of POM is like trying to understand what dessert is. Everyone has a slightly different image of how they see it but we all know that it is supposed to taste sweet, and that is exactly what you get from this new EP. 'Enter The POM' is an eclectic and wide-ranging collection of tracks, but yet all stick to one common theme, which is the band's own personal take on the blood-pumping electro-pop sound they have curated for themselves.

In all, 'Enter The POM' aims to be a well-rounded introduction to what the group represents, and they have managed to pull this off both succinctly and with gusto. This collection demonstrates exactly what they are, which is a trio ready to take on the world.
