Following on from their highly-praised album 'Every Valley' last year, Public Service Broadcasting have now returned to announce the details of a brand new EP.
The new release 'White Star Liner' continues the band's theme of conceptual records, focusing this release of Belfast's ship building industry in the 1980s.
Speaking about the new EP, the band's J. Wilgoose, ESQ explains, “I thought it was an interesting challenge to tell the story of the ship’s construction as part of Belfast’s proud industrial history, the spirit of optimism of the pre-war age that she represented, and then an abstract and, I hope, respectful depiction of both the sinking of the ship (represented by the repeated Morse code distress call, C - Q - D) and the discovery of the wreck in 1985.”
'White Star Liner' is due to be released on the 26th October and you can check out the EP's title-track in the player below.
