The Ram - 'Everything'

7/10

Known for always delivering something fresh and passionate with everything he does, Mark "The Ram" O'Donnell has been one of the more explorative names doing the rounds in recent years. While only emerging in 2020 with his breakthrough debut album 'To Love A Wild Fire', the years since have been this broad and adventurous pursuit of diverse aesthetics and sprawling atmospheres. And with his vigour and acclaim continuing to grow, he continues to push forward with his latest EP 'Everything'.

Hot off the heels of last year's 'Ram's Dead, Vol 1', his newest three-track effort sees the title-track offered up in a trio of ways. With its extended version venturing down a smooth and soul-inspired route, which garners up a wealth of riveting ideals as it plays, the instrumental rendition fully highlights the warm and effervescent textures he has brought to his newest outing. Clearly looking to spread his creative wings further than ever here, 'Everything' sits as one of his more progressive cuts to date as he makes light work of its dynamic tones and pace throughout.

While his career has certainly been filled with a flurry of enjoyable releases, 'Everything' is another shining example of his proficient aesthetic recently. Creating this beautifully alluring direction in which to take his sound gives it this dense and immersive aura that very few can make as captivating as him.
