Raury unveils new track 'Fly'

Having already landed himself a top 5 spot on the BBC's Sound Of 2015 poll, Atlanta-based singer Raury has kicked off the new year with a politically-motivated new track.

'Fly', featuring additional vocals from Malik Shakur, was inspired by the recent protests in Ferguson, where a police officer was was left uncharged for killing a young black man.

Raury explained, “I wrote ‘Fly’ right after hearing that Darren Wilson was not being indicted for murdering Mike Brown. The words and music didn’t even feel like mine. I knew that this track belonged to the universe. Fly bears the scars, fears and thoughts of an 18 year old black boy in America.”

This is the first piece of new material we have heard from the rising star since his 'Indigo Child' mixtape last year, and you can now listen to 'Fly' in the player below.
