Red Hot Chili Peppers announced as first Reading & Leeds headliner

With the festival growing bigger year on year, Reading & Leeds have now unveiled the first 10 acts set to play at next year's events, with Red Hot Chili Peppers named as the first headliner.

The legendary Californian band are set to be an exclusive booking for the two festivals, while other acts filling up the others stages include The 1975, Slaves, Twenty One Pilots, Hinds, Rat Boy, Boy Better Know, The Courteeners, Crossfaith and DJ EZ.

Speaking about the first announcement, festival boss Melvin Benn said, “I’m thrilled to be able to announce Red Hot Chili Peppers as the first headliner for Reading & Leeds 2016, as a festival exclusive. Their incredible live show will be an unforgettable headline performance at the UK’s biggest music festival. We’ve still got some really exciting names to announce and I can’t wait to reveal the rest of the line up. It’s going to be our best year yet.”

Tickets for both Reading & Leeds Festivals are available now via their respective websites here and here, and will take from the 26th to 28th August 2016.
