Squid announce new album 'O Monolith'

Following on from the release of their sensational 2021 debut LP 'Bright Green Field', Squid have now announced their plans for a new studio album, arriving in the coming months.

The new full-length 'O Monolith' is being previewed by the new lead single 'Swing (In A Dream)', which comes accompanied by a brilliant Yoonha Park-directed video, and is set to be released on the 9th June via Warp Records.

Speaking about the new offering, singer and drummer Ollie Judge said, “This was inspired by a dream I had about a painting called The Swing by Jean-Honoré Fragonard. In my dream I was in the painting but it was flooded and everything was floating away.”

While director Park added about the new visuals, “I was interested in exploring visual ideas from Where’s Waldo, Richard Scarry and Brueghel as a means to express anxieties about the climate crisis.”
