White Lies return with new single 'Hurt My Heart'

While their heavily-praised new LP 'Five' hit the top 20 album charts back in February, White Lies have now returned to share a brand new single.

The new track 'Hurt My Heart' was recorded alongside US producer Andrew Wells, and sees the band look to break away from the album format and deliver new material outside of their traditional guise.

Explaining the decision, bassist and lyricist Charles Cave said, "For ten years we have stayed loyal to the album format - only sitting down to write and then record when it was time for a new complete work. Whilst there is a lot of love about that process, it is something of an endurance exercise. We decided it was about time to see what happened if we just wrote a few things with the idea to release music disconnected from an LP; something that could sit within the same universe as 'Five’.”
