Close Talker

Currently one of the huge swathe of names emerging from Canada’s indie rock explosion of the last year, Saskatoon natives Close Talker are looking to push their heads out even further than their contemporaries with the release of their latest album ‘Flux’, and its lead single ‘For The Sun’.

After gathering comparisons to the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club and Local Natives, this young four-piece have looked to carve a new sound all of their own, paving their own path into the international music market. ‘For The Sun’ delivers on huge choruses, tight rhythm and finely tuned songwriting, all the hallmarks of a band whose mark is soon to be made.

The track precedes the group’s sophomore LP ‘Flux’, following on from their debut full-length ‘Timbers’, an album described with “demanding, yet intricate guitar parts, with the rhythm section being held down by calculated bass lines, and tasteful percussion”. The band plan to go even further with their sound on this next record and ‘For The Sun’ is a prime example of that.
