ANASTÁZIE & The Musa - 'FLEETING VISIT'

8/10

Over the last few years, London’s ANASTÁZIE has been establishing herself as one of the more diverse and adventurous names emerging from the capital. With a sound that looks to blend a wide and eclectic range of ideas under one roof, she has quickly caught the attention of many tastemakers for her immersive direction of late. And now looking to cement that dynamic legacy to date, she teams up with producer The Musa for her vibrant debut EP ‘FLEETING VISIT’, a collection brimming with kinetic energy throughout.

Taking influence from a wide variety of genres, including afro-beats, bile-funk, pop, dancehall, R&B and Armenian music, this new four-track outing makes for a brilliantly bold and expressive listen. With her bright and shimmering vocal style spread across a bouncing production that always seems to surprise us at every turn, she has built upon the foundations of her tenure so far to deliver a truly fresh and exciting delight.

She may still be working through the infancy of her career right now, but ‘FLEETING VISIT’ is a firm and confident statement of intent. Capturing such a wondrous and progressive vibe from beginning to end, she continues to shine as one of the more inventive names on the rise right now.
