Having already astounded us in 2020 with the release of their stunning breakthrough debut album 'I Slept On The Floor', which landed on numerous tastemaker's albums of the year lists, Another Sky have wasted no time in getting their next batch of fresh and enticing offerings together as they share their new yet haunting collection 'Music For Winter Vol. 1', a release that takes their formative sound and pushes it more towards a solemn and humbled direction.
Intended to be the first of many wintery releases in the years to come, 'Music For Winter Vol. 1' is a bold and heady mix of dark and atmospheric intentions, all wrapped up in the guise of their rich and soaring direction. Channelling the same euphoric intentions that made their first full-length such a joy to listen to, this six-track EP continues on from that initial offering and delivers something far more spiritual in the process. While clearly still the same Another Sky at the helm, there is something about the despondent and fleeting feel of these compositions that showcase them as something far more captivating than most.
Last year may have been their year to shine, but it feels like Another Sky have something far more progressive in mind when it comes to their forthcoming releases. Almost as if we were only treated to the tip of their creative iceberg back in August and are now beginning to see exactly what they are capable of.
