Having made a name for themselves throughout the last few years, Glaswegian trio Baby Strange took some time off at the beginning of 2016 but have returned to the gigging circuit once again to promote the recent release of their debut album.
With comparisons to the likes of The Buzzcocks and The Undertones, the band's original punk influences have found themselves a good home in the last few months, thanks to the rise of similar bands, and with standout tracks like 'Friend' and 'Trouble', it gives us a strong indication of where they are planning to take their sound next.
With an aptly distorted production, their work to date is the perfect blend of traditional punk and the wave of hyperactive indie bands we have seen in the last few years. The group is both fresh and recognisable in its approach to songwriting, giving them an advantageous position when it comes inviting new listeners to their sound.
Baby Strange will be heading to London's Camden Assembly on the 28th September, as well as playing shows throughout Scotland and the north of England over the next few months. Listen again to their brilliant single 'Friend' in the player below.
Their debut album 'Want It Need It' is out now.
