Over the last few years, we have begun to see the retro sound of jazz and soul work its way further and further into the commercial world. So now is obviously the perfect time for Texas-based frontwoman Hailey Tuck to make her mark on the scene with the announcement of her debut album.
Despite being a prominent name in the world of jazz for the last few years, thanks to a flurry of brilliant EP releases, the singer is now preparing her debut album. But unlike most first full-lengths we have seen before, this one is jam-packed with reworks and covers of some incredible classic tracks.
The new LP 'Junk' is set to arrive on the 4th May, and sees her take on the likes of Pulp, Leonard Cohen, The Kinks, Joni Mitchell and many more, displaying not only her own uniquely enticing sound, but also giving us a whole new way of hearing these much-loved singles.
