So far this year, it looks like no-one's profile is rising faster than that of London-based singer-songwriter The Beach. With just a couple of tracks to his name, the last few months have seen the young guitarist go from modest cult following to the next big thing.
While his initial single 'Thieves' brought him moderate acclaim, it has been his latest work 'From Above' that has helped him stand out from an already overcrowded market. Combining classic folk, modern songwriting techniques and even some brazen electronics, 'From Above' is quickly becoming his break-out introduction and has already received huge support from BBC Radio 1, VEVO and a number of other national publications.
Even though it is still early doors for him, The Beach has already been announced at this year's Great Escape and Y Not? Festivals later this year, as well as a support slot with James Bay at Somerset House in July.
Although no EPs or albums look to be arriving in the near future, The Beach is taking his time about it and could already be on his way to becoming a household name by the end of the year. Have a listen to 'From Above' in the player below.
