After Slaves brought loud and unabashed punk rock back to the mainstream earlier this year, they have ultimately opened the floodgates to a new breed of hyper-agressive rock music about to dominate the country in the months to come, and the first to be making new waves is in this field is Pretty Vicious.
The Merthyr Tydfil-based four-piece have been working all year, releasing singles and the odd EP, but it seems that the year ahead is looking like their ticket to the big time. After numerous radio plays for BBC Radio 1 and the like, Pretty Vicious have found themselves on the cusp of the next big waves in British music.
Returning with their latest track 'Are You Ready For Me?', the band pose the question that many are hoping will be yes. A ferocious and blistering beast of a record that looks like the beginning of a very promising career for these upstarts.
