Since the release of her debut EP 'Sugar & Spice', emerging frontwoman Hatchie has quickly become one of the most talked about new artists of the moment. Having just wrapped up a UK tour supporting Girlpool, the singer and songwriter has now released her highly-anticipated debut album 'Keepsake'.
With a sound that sonically blends alongside the likes of Snail Mail and Soccer Mommy, her latest single 'Obsessed', lifted from the new LP, brings a beautifully warm and progressive sound that manages to blend elements of 80s-era The Cure with more modern contemporaries like Pale Waves.
Speaking about her new offering, she said, "It's a song about friendship. I wrote it when reflecting on my teenage tendency to cling to a new best friend for support, until I eventually convinced myself I wasn't worthy of their friendship. It's ultimately a celebration of meeting somebody who you look up to who helps you grow into a more adventurous person.”
Hatchie's debut album 'Keepsake' is available to buy and stream now and you can check out the new video for 'Obsessed' in the player below.
