While so many artists find success by following the trends and looking to emulate their heroes, there are still some that are looking to carve their own way into the industry and this goes for the LA-based newcomer Angelica Garcia.
Raised in a multigenerational, multicultural family, she sings of her experience growing up half Mexican, half Salvadoran-American, in the predominately immigrant Latin communities of El Monte and Baldwin Park, she has now unveiled her first two singles in the form of 'It Don't Hinder Me' and 'Karma The Knife'.
With both tracks seeing her tackle the bold and ferocious blues-rock sound pushed forward by The White Stripes and The Blue Keys, they also have this dancehall-inspired vibe running through them, making them some of the most distinctly original sounds we have heard all year.
Both singles are ready to download and stream now, and you can check out the official video for 'It Don't Hinder Me' in the player below.
