After spending the last few years building and developing her sound, London-based artist Konyikeh is now ready to introduce herself to the world with her captivating debut single 'Sorrow'.
Capturing a beautifully warm and alluring aesthetic from start to finish, 'Sorrow' makes for a wonderfully rich and immersive listen. With her broad and mesmerising vocal performance layered across a shimmering yet humbled production throughout, she is quickly cementing herself as one of the more enchanting names emerging right now.
Adding about the origins of 'Sorrow', she said, “I was very rebellious and religion wasn’t a thing to me even then, I was calling myself an atheist – but my parents weren’t religious either, but my mum would go to church and pray for me still.”
'Sorrow' was produced by Charlie J Perry and Paya, and comes accompanied by a stunning new video, directed by Kemi Anna Adeeko. Watch it in the player below.
