Bestival announce first wave of acts

As always one of the last festivals of the summer, Bestival has now announced the first wave of acts set to appear at this year's event, along with two headliners.

The Chemical Brothers will top the billing on the Saturday night, with Underworld headlining the Thursday before. Other notable additions to this year's line-up include UK festival exclusives from Duran Duran, The Jacksons and Flying Lotus, as well as live shows from Jurassic 5, Tame Impala, Gorgon City, Duke Dumont and many more.

Curator Rob Da Bank said, “We're taking it right back to our roots for the 12th annual Bestival. It’s also the 20th birthday of the club where it all started - Sunday Best, and that club and our beloved Bestival were founded on some pretty simple aims - listen to amazing music, make new friends, have fun, and maybe stay up all night. Two decades later we're rigidly sticking to those principles, and this edition of Bestival, with its Summer of Love theme, is all about one huge musical, well, orgy... So, returning friends the Chemical Brothers rave alongside iconic popstars Duran Duran and The Jacksons, and some of my favourite modern musical mavericks - Tame Impala, Flying Lotus and Jungle - jump in bed together… and this is just the start of the party… Watch this space and feel the love!”

A variety of tickets, including adult, student and teenager, are available from http://www.ticketline.co.uk/ as well as full details about the festival at http://www.bestival.net.
