Billy Nomates, the fiercely original project of Bristol-based songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Tor Maries, has released her latest single 'Plans'—a raw, swirling love song lifted from her forthcoming album 'Metalhorse', due out on the 16th May via Invada Records.
Premiered by Nick Grimshaw on BBC Radio 6 Music, 'Plans' is a kinetic jolt of simplicity and power. Maries describes the track as “getting on the Waltzers at the end of the world,” and the song captures that exact feeling—spinning, breathless, wild-eyed devotion just before the lights go out. It’s a love song to love itself, written with unflinching sincerity and the kind of urgency that pulses through your veins.
Following the release of 'The Test', an anthemic, rebellious track that’s been tearing up the BBC Radio 6 Music A-List, 'Plans' doubles down on the record’s propulsive energy, pairing heartland rock with Maries’ signature sharp lyricism and emotionally charged delivery.
