Following on from a small flurry of standalone singles earlier this year, Blood Orange aka Dev Hynes has announced that he plans to release a new studio album later this year.
In an interview with V Magazine, Hynes says that the new record, dubbed 'Freetown Sound', is “a lot about sexuality and displacement and life in the city" and also made a reference to the Beastie Boys album 'Paul's Boutique', saying, “It kind of plays like a long mix tape.”
No confirmation on an exact release date or tracklist but 'Freetown Sound' is due out sometime in the spring.
